Australia's Top Android Personal Finance Apps in Q4 2020

In the final quarter of 2020, Australians turned to a variety of personal finance applications to manage their budgets and expenses. Sensor Tower's data provides a glimpse into the trends of the top Android apps in this category during this period.

Wallet: Budget Expense Tracker saw a significant increase in downloads, jumping from 81K in late September to an impressive 505K by the year's end. Weekly active users also rose, finishing the quarter at 875K from an initial 549K.

For MoneyBrilliant, downloads peaked at 1.3M in the last week of December, a considerable increase from 765K at the start of the quarter. Revenue also saw a notable uptick, reaching 1K by the last week of December.

Spendee - Budget and Expense Tracker experienced modest download numbers, starting at 58K and ending at 63K. However, the app maintained a steady base of weekly active users, ending the quarter with 1.1M.

Splitwise achieved a strong finish in December with 1.9M downloads, an increase from the 952K seen at the quarter's commencement. Weekly active users also grew, concluding at 7.9M from an initial 6.6M.

Lastly, Goodbudget: Budget & Finance downloads more than doubled from 84K to 193K by the end of Q4. Active users saw a healthy increase, ending the quarter at 535K from a starting point of 451K.
